Buenaventura is not a nice city. It looks poor and not well mantained. You need a local inhabitant as a guide because there are areas where you should not go because it is a dangerous city. Buenaventura feels like a very poor and dirty city with nothing touristy to do. It’s a way to get to several beach destinations in the area, so if you have to stay the night stay close to the harbour, otherwise just pass through.Guest review byAlexUnited States
