This is a family-run hotel with the whole family pitching in. They were delightful and keen to be helpful with lots of cups of tea, advice and assistance with purchasing tickets. It felt like I was staying with friends. Very little english, but fearless with using translation apps. Very thoughtful - gave me a bottle of water for the train home after dropping me at the station. The standout for this property was the staff. I wish them every success with their business.

It’s like traveling back in time. I can’t describe how beautiful it is. The staff is just amazing, friendly and helpful. They have Chinese traditional clothes and you can try them on and make pictures. One of a kind experience. Bed seemed first hard, but I slept like a baby.

I really made the right choice with this homestay in Pingyao! The location is absolutely a hidden gem—just a two-minute walk gets you to Rishengchang Bank, so there’s no need to get up early to soak in the Jin merchant culture. It’s super convenient to head back for a break after visiting the attractions. What’s more, the surrounding area is bustling with life. When you stroll out in the evening, the lanterns light up, and old shops and street food stalls are right in front of you, full of that lively, authentic vibe. No need to hunt for places to eat; just step into any spot, and it’s sure to be delicious. The biggest surprise, though, is the service here—they truly take care of every little detail. When I checked in, the owner warmly introduced local attractions, even telling me which shop has the most authentic Pingyao beef and the best time to visit Rishengchang to avoid crowds. That kind of thoughtful care makes the whole trip feel so warm. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Pingyao. Great location, amazing atmosphere, and service that’s second to none—highly recommended!

The hotel environment was very good, the staff was very friendly, asked us in advance about the arrival time and method, arranged a pick-up car to pick us up, and had a good breakfast. The location of the hotel is very good, it is very convenient to go out and play, it is easy to find, the courtyard is elegant and quiet, and the stay is very comfortable. It is a very nice hotel in the ancient city. It’s a courtyard hotel very typical. The staff are nice and helpful. They don’t speak English but communication is very fluid thanks to translation applications.

Excellent location right in the middle of Pingyao ancient town surrounded by restaurants and shops etc. All the staffs are friendly and helpful. They offered drop off and pick up from the railway station at a very little cost and because cars are not allowed inside of the ancient city, someone from the hotel will wait and greet at the entrance gate. Room was clean and comfortable. Enjoy and immerse yourself in the beauty and charming ancient China.

The hotel staff is very considerate, friendly and love to help at anytime, they response very fast and helped to arrange cars to pick us up at the station and take us to the temples.
