The staff are very friendly and helpful. Even the weather is hot and we want to take a bath before check-out, they are very flexible and allow us to check out even at 1pm!!! Also, the place is in a very good location. It is just 1 minute away from the busy and tourist venue, but the place is quiet. Also, everything is very digital, e.g. lighting, curtain, etc. They also share some traditional Shanghai clothes for you to take photo within hotel area.

The room is cozy and warm. There's welcome music and a control panel for lighting and curtains, which is interesting. The breakfast is decent, I like it. There are a variety of choices, but overall the taste is yummy, the atmosphere is cozy, and it feels like having a home-cooked meal. Great & convenient location. However there are 2 EBO hotels, not far from each other, so be careful not to book a taxi to the wrong one. The staff is nice, but they barely speak English, so a translation tool is recommended.

As a luxury hotel, I have to say you can ask for help or reservations or other requests before you check-in. E.g. you can book a table at its Black Pearl Chinese restaurant - Jinsha, or you can ask them to book tickets for Impression of Westlake - btw I got the best seats for the show,. The hotel owns a private garden besides Westlake, so you can enjoy a peaceful time for your wandering. Also it has a private dock for a reserved boat cruise or even plus a privileged breakfast course on the boat. Best location as well - very convenient for Linyin Temple or other temples near around or Longjing Village. Yes it is expensive, but if you want to have a terrific treatment for you and your families, I'd recommend to stay here at least once in Hangzhou.

    My favourite City in China used to be Beijing, then I went to Hangzhou. What a wonderful city to explore. So much to see and do. My highlights were Zhu Bingren Museum of Contemporary Art in Hefang Street, the main tourist street. It's amazing bronze and metal work art. Another highlight was the Nansong Deshou Palace site museum. Excellent. The Westlake is beautiful, as are all the lovely parks around it. Easy to walk around and well lit at night. Very safe. The silk museum was also worth the visit. Otherwise, just mingle with the people, try the variety of foods and snacks on offer and enjoy the beautiful Chilled City of Hangzhou.

    our 5 day stay was just right for our purposes visiting family. The local attractions - West Lake; Longjing tea village - means for general tourists a stay of 2 days would be sufficient to see the sights and get a good sense of the place. As there are few organized tours, book a car and guide to make the most of the stay.

    From the moment I arrived I liked the feel of the city.

    From the moment I arrived I liked the feel of the city. It was warm and friendly. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best during my stay therefore I didn't see as much as I would have liked. What I did see didn't disappoint. Apart from the known tourist attractions there was also a lovely shopping precinct near the lake for those who like labels and fashion. Also small stalls selling well made and original handicrafts.

    Hangzhou is a city you must visit in China.

    Hangzhou is a city you must visit in China. It has culture, history, spectacular scenery and delicious food. The world famous west lake is right in the center of the city. There are so many activities you can do in Hangzhou, walking or riding bike along the lake, hiking, visiting Linying Temple, meeting friends in tea house, shopping and dining etc.

    Hangzhou is the city full of great and fantastic places to visit. The choices of restaurant are great. The experience of evening and morning visits at the West Lake offered great memories. The public transport and Taxi rides are affordable in comparing to Western price. In summary, the city offers travellers and visitors thousands wonderful memories.

    The location of the hotel is a very convenient just across the West Lake. It was nice strolling along the West Lake day and night time. Beautiful scenery. The food served at the popular Hangzhou Restaurant was delicious. The Lingyin Temple attracted a lot of visitors although we arrived a week after the week-long National Day Holiday. A day trip from Hangzhou to Wuzhen Water Town was memorable.

    Once I found it - the location was excellent for my short stay. Close to subway. Starbucks & KFC downstairs if you’ve just arrived in China & need to ease into it for your first meal. The floor this hotel was on, was extremely clean. The cleaning ladies did an amazing job, the ladies facilities were always spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. Plenty of toilets & showers, so you never needed to wait. Yes the room was tiny, but it was exactly as described. Plenty of charging stations both in room & in common room.
