The breakfast had fantastic choice and was always delicious. The location was great as it was very close to the centre but far enough to have quiet time and be away from the crowds. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and especially the library room where we enjoyed our meals every day. The location is fantastic for walks. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. The spa that is attached to the hotel an absolute treat and gives it all an extra sense of luxury. Amazing views from the outdoor pool and so nice to just to go straight to fur room after such a relaxing and pampering experience. We will definitely go back again

Excellent room (they even gave me a free upgrade to a larger room although it wasn't necessary)--comfy bed, microwave and fridge with free water and a beer in it, nice shower, motion sensor nightlight in the bathroom, extra clean, helpful staff. The location was great--2 blocks from the lake with path to the old town) and right by a tram stop and only 2 tram stops from a train station that takes you to the airport. A super stay and I would stay there again. Only drawback was no elevator, but they gave me a choice of ground floor room or second floor.

WOW. Over the past year I have been to 10 five star hotels at least, and they were nothing compared to the Dolder. The Dolder Grand is something else, something above five start, something truly unique that I wished I had experienced earlier. My suite was absolutely gorgeous, with a stunning view over the lake of Zurich. Everything in the room was clean, tidy, luxurious. The SPA was one of the best I have ever tried, beautiful and calm indoor pool, with an outdoor jacuzzi overlooking Zurich. The staff and the concierge were all super helpful, super kind and really made me feel special and welcomed during my entire stay. Finally I want to make a special mention for the food....the Saltz Restaurant was extremely good but what has totally surprised me was the breakfast. HANDS DOWN THE BEST BREAKFAST ON PLANET EARTH. Super happy of my stay, as I visit Zurich few times a year, I will make sure to stay at Dolder next time I come in few months. See you soon:)

Take a Fresh Look at Zurich

As the financial capital of Switzerland and headquarters of several large companies including FIFA, there’s a good chance that if you’re in Zurich you’re here on business. But that doesn’t mean this city doesn’t have a playful side.

    We spend quite a bit of time in Switzerland every summer and Fall but concentrate most of our time on the mountains, not the cities. However, every time I’m in the cities I am reminded that I also enjoy them, too. The Old Towns, that is. They are quaint and lovely for restaurants and strolling thru historic neighborhoods and tours if you like that kind of thing.

    avoid staying in zurich more then 1 days and for better expeience and save time , stay in interlaken or luzern however most if the group tour start from zurich so one has to plan trips to titlus or other areas accordingly .

    I enjoyed the safety of the city, especially at night, very much as well as the walkability and cleanliness. I was impressed by the public transportation system with a well run customer service at the main train station for all international travelers. Don't miss the most delicious pastries at Confiserie Bachmann, Bahnhofstrasse!

    Location of the hotel ir excellent for walking tours. It is very easy within minutes to reach the airport tram and train station. Perfect urban transportation, easy to use the application. Boat tour is very desirable. Beautiful city to return again and again.

    We had a pleasant stay at the accommodation. The apartment was comfortable and clean, with a well-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. The location was also very convenient — close to the airport and well-connected by public transport, making it easy to reach both the city center of Zurich and the airport. The hosts were polite and easy to communicate with. We appreciated that they informed us well in advance about construction work taking place across the street during our stay, so we were prepared for some noise.

    Easy walking distance from train and bus stations, grocery and other shops around 5-10 minutes walk away. Tram goes directly from Zurich Airport to just behind the hotel. Comfortable room, very clean, sufficient storage space plenty of kitchen utensils including pans were provided. Far enough from the heart of the city centre that nights were nice and quiet aside from occasional rumbling from trams.

    Location and the staff are excellent. Before Zurich, we stayed in 4 hotels in Switzerland and we rated all staff excellent...but one among them stood out the most, and that's Alex at Townhouse Boutique Hotel. Collins, of same hotel prepared, us (personal choice) the best Cafe Mocha we tasted in Switzerland. For the money paid, it's worth our stay.
