    The staff were incredible. Although very few speak English, all of them went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms (and the entire place) were perfectly clean, the views are absolutely stunning, and the restaurant has high quality food. Stettlen is a gorgeous town, and some of us enjoyed the 2km uphill hike from the train station. We were quickly provided with extra pillows, blankets, and towels, and they even let us use their laundry.

    With regard to transport to arrival. I flew from YUL Montreal to Geneva GVA took a train from GVA to Bern Train Staition. Then took a car from Bern Train Station to the hotel Aplenblick. Easy as pie. THe veiw is excellent, quite, surrounded by farms and cornfields. BUT lterally 15 minutes from Bern. I choose to have breakfast included which turned out to be a very good choice.

    Scenic view over the mountains Outside Bern, but still close to the city Parking Cappuccino and good breakfast (but quality of bread could be better) Good bed, relatively new matrass, I slept well. Reasonable price, as most hotel in Bern are expensive and parking here was free.
