Melchtal has a cablecar and a road up to the plateau at nearly 2000m with a lake Melchsee and a small church. There are many cows and cheese is made there. Surrounding the lake are glorious peaks up to 2600m and Tiflis and other 3000m mountains are in the distance. On the lower level at the bottom of the cable car are much closer craggy peaks and the delightful Waldhaus guesthouse with it’s excellent restaurant.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom
