The staff was awesome. The lady at the front desk carried my luggage to my room. She also gave me a different pillow to help with a previous neck pain issue. The breakfast was great. The view from the breakfast room was good. I loved the big safe and the big shower. The room was quiet and dark at night. Close to train station.

Perfect chalet-hotel with an amazing view of the Staubbachfall, with a clean, spacious and well designed room, large terasse overlooking the valey. Very friendly owner and staff. We were a bit late for check-in (8.20pm) but we found the owner there, very relaxed and understanding, and he told us more about the area and the best things to do in Lauterbrunnen. Breakfast was amazing (special notes for all types of cheese and for coffee selection!).

House host is very nice, thoughtful and friendly. Great communication, lovely apartment and beautiful trail near by the property. The only tiny thing is wifi password is toooooooo long to type. The chalet is beautifully decorated, very clean and smells amazing! We were very well welcomed by Dave, he lit the fire place and the chalet was warm and cosy when we arrived. The chalet surroundings are incredible. The living room has an amazing view of the mountain. Dave and Patricia are super friendly and very accommodating. They offered great support with tips about where to eat in the region and what to visit.

The apartment is great and well equipped. The location is great with an amazing view. We had a great stay and we do recommend this accommodation! The owner was very kind and reactive by WhatsApp. We even had the possibility to leave our luggages to enjoy a last tour before getting our train.

We stayed 3 nights here. Beautiful home on the Main Street of Lauterbrunnen. Easy walk from the train station. Spacious for a family of 6. They had coffee that was provided… which was a nice touch.

    The hotel room (dungeon) in Hotel Oberland was definitely a big disappointment. We stayed in many hotels in France, Switzerland & Germany & this was the most expensive & the worst. Lauterbrunnen is gorgeous & we were lucky enough to see the flower decorated cows coming through the town after walking down from Wengen.

    Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for.

    Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for. We had sunny days and a couple of rainy days, both were breathtaking in their own right. Nice connection too to Murren, Wengen, and Interlaken. At night, when the day tours have left, you can have the village "all for yourself" and that experience was almost divine.

    Beautiful valley with the option of a lot of great hikes in the area. It is also a convenient location if you are driving as you can not drive to Murren or Wengen so Lauterbrunnen is a good base with a variety of activities

    Lauterbrunnen is a good place to base yourself for the Jungfrau region. It has an excellent train service to various places, by train and cable car. The Coop shop had lots of choice for your evening meal, plus there are many restaurants and bars to choose from too. The town was very clean and pretty with flower boxes at many of the windows. The Information Centre is very close to the train station. The trains were amazing - they ran on time to the minute, and were clean and comfortable. The many waterfalls, and in particular the thunderous Trummelbach Falls on the outskirts of the town were outstanding. You can climb up into the Staubbach falls from the town park. The town has an outdoor swimming pool but we were too busy to try it out. An important thing to stress is, if you can buy a travel pass, it will save you money. Its just knowing which one to get that is tricky.

    We thought it was the poor cousin of Grindewald but having now been to both, we would again and again stay in Lauterbrunnen. A much more authentic place filled with sport enthusiast and not just day trippers taking Instagram shots.

    Most of the Lauterbrunnen hotels are around the train station and easy access to interlaken, Grindelwald, wengan. You can take the cable car to go to murren and to other surrounding villages. There is a coop super market to buy food. Environment is very beautiful. Bus service also available to go round the nearby villages.

    Breakfast was very good. Anna, the staff member, looked after us very well. She was also a font of knowledge with local attractions and places to visit. The room was comfortable and the view from our window was good (room 2). We looked up towards the Staubbach waterfall and mountains. An ideal place to spend 2 or 3 nights there when enjoying Switzerland.

    The Valley Hostel is perfectly located in the center Lauterbrunnen. The accommodation is basic but functional. You have to make your own bed but it is a good measure to keep prices low. The view from the balcony is breathtaking! It is also very helpful that the hostel has its own carpark.
