The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very calm and kind, greeted me well, and I asked for a copy, but it was nice that they were willing to do it. Also, I asked for a room cleaning, but you did it neatly. I left my tip behind and I was also surprised that the tip didn't take it with me as if it had been taught not to take a tip Anyway, I've been doing well.

FAQs about hotels in Interlaken

Outdoors Gateway to Jungfrau

Typically Swiss, Interlaken has an incredible location: on the Aar River linking nearby Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, and in the shade of magnificent Alpine mountains including famous Jungfrau. The wonderful views are seen flying into Interlaken Airport.

The lakes are great spots for sailing, swimming or simply having a picnic along the peaceful shores. The area also has its fair share of high-adrenaline pursuits including bungee jumping, paragliding and river rafting.

In winter it’s all about the Interlaken skiing and snowboarding, with options including the fabulous Jungfrau Winter Sport Region and family-friendly areas with easy slopes. The Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn glacier is UNESCO World Heritage-listed, and the Jungfraujoch mountain railway takes you to the Top of Europe, the highest railway station in Europe. For a break from skiing, Europe’s longest toboggan run is a thrill a minute. Après-ski ranges from bars and discos to cosy restaurants serving specialities like fondue and raclette.

The town offers great views of the snowy peak of Jungfrau, best seen from Höheweg which also has a Japanese garden and lots of shops selling all things Swiss. Also here is the Hotel Victoria Jungfrau and the Hotel Royal St Georges, 2 Swiss Heritage Sites that are just some of the Interlaken accommodation options on Booking.com.

We loved the trip to top of Jungfrau fabulous experience also Harder Kulm by the funicular and another brilliant trip was to Schynige Platte by cog railway which was brilliant. We also visited the Ballenberg open air museum which was very interesting and took us all day to go around it. Interlaken is a good central location for visiting the area

Interlaken truly feels like a dream destination, the kind of place where every corner looks like it belongs on a postcard. My favorite spots were the panoramic views from Harder Kulm (tip: go up just before sunset for the most magical light) and the turquoise waters of Lake Brienz, which are stunning for both photos and a peaceful walk along the shore. When it comes to food, Interlaken has plenty of cozy restaurants and cafés. I really enjoyed trying a classic Swiss fondue, perfect after a day of exploring. For a budget-friendly option, grab fresh pastries from local bakeries in the morning; they are delicious and save you time before heading out on an adventure. Getting around is surprisingly easy. The Swiss Travel Pass or local day tickets are worth it if you plan to explore nearby towns or lakes, as public transport is punctual, scenic, and stress-free. Inside Interlaken, most places are within walking distance, so you can enjoy the views while you get around. As a solo traveler, I found Interlaken both safe and exciting. There are endless outdoor activities, but the absolute highlight was paragliding over Interlaken. Flying between the mountains with the lakes glistening below is pure magic and you will never forget it. (Tip: book a morning flight if you can; the air is calmer and the views are crystal clear.) Whether you love nature, adventure, or just soaking in the beauty of the Swiss Alps, Interlaken has something for everyone.

Anne You attached my report from 2024, the difference with 2025 hotel change management, and policy, in this case : cut expenses and increase prices, also to hire employees with nor training, and low profile. with the high prices hotel can buy an air condition system more efficacy that a cheap fan.

It’s best city of Switzerland I visited.

It’s best city of Switzerland I visited. View of city is awesome, nice and clean, public transport is very good. If you have Swiss travel pass you can enjoy trains, ferries and buses free. And lots of other places have discounts on tickets upto 50%. If you’re looking for Swiss travel definitely go to Interlaken at least 2 days minimum, lots of places (Grindelwald ) around there that have amazing views. Small town but better. Food is little expensive than Zurich.

I wish I can stay one more day. We were there two days and booked the paragliding twice and was cancelled due to raining. But the town has so much to see and we can only hit a small part of it. I will definitely go back again if I ever travel back to Switzerland.

Be aware that this hotel is also a care home for the elderly and it looks and feels like one. They are not separated. You will be sharing the dining areas with the elderly who live at the residence. It is also a Christian run organisation. Neither of these were made clear when booking. In saying that the room was spacious and clean we were only staying for a night. Hotel is about 10 minute walk from interlaken ost - roadworks mean bus is not running currently on street. Also about 10 minutes in the opposite direction to town centre.

Very spacious, lots of room to store our things, modern and nice facilities, comfortable beds, super nice staff and very generous breakfast included. Switzerland can be very expensive but this hotel is good value for money and affordable compared to lots of other options out there. Also a stunning mountain view from our room. Close to lots of restaurants, shops and public transport. Highly recommend thank you for our stay

It's close to the bus stand and interlaken west station. There are good restaurants around the hotel. They have a common kitchen to use on the ground floor. Clean rooms Toiletries and towels were provided for our stay. The price was reasonable for the services provided for switzerland. The host was very friendly.
