high over the valley, far from noise of the busy main road stands a piece of paradise. The room not too big, but with a good bath and a breathtaking view, a warm welcome by an elderly nun who shows you around,allover the atmosphere of piece and calm. beautiful, well kept gardens. Room was simple and clean with amazing huge windows. Staff so helpful, and let us leave our bags. Loved the breakfast spread (+1 for having gluten free muesli), and being able to borrow a hiking rucksack was very helpful.

The location is perfect! Quiet and amazingly beautiful. Staff is very nice! Special thanks to the lady, who serves the breakfast, she is so kind and pleasant person. Breakfast has some vegetarian options, gluten free muesli, pancakes, pistachio crème (the best one), eggs, ham etc. even herbal tea, which is really good. The service is swiss - meaning “other countries should learn, how to do that” - it’s the quality. The price for this quality and place is very convenient. Also we got upgrade of the room for free.

    Ilanz is a lovely little town with numerous historic buildings. It is a wonderful place to stay if you want to have easy access to numerous ski areas, walking trails and pretty villages. The bus and train services are excellent and very well-co-ordinated. There is a good range of shops, and bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.

    Overall, I really enjoyed my stay together with my dog to avoid the fireworks. There were still some fireworks, but that is none of the hotels fault and overall manageable. The staff was super nice and always happy to help. The location is also great as you have a few restaurants nearby and shops, too.

    Very friendly staff and nice, spacy, room. Breakfast was great, and had a large selection. The view from the rooms is great. Having spent many times in the area, staying at this hotel was a first, but I'd definitely stay again.
