The location of a hotel is great but most of all it is so nicely eqiped, lively and a combination of old and new that it is really something special. I even felt no need to add a bucket of freshly picked roses in a room as I usually do :) Pefect, would stay again and again and again (and the cleaning lady Anita even alowed me to briefly look how some other rooms are eqiped and designed, they all are great - and Anita was so kind and helpful). Plus: the breakfast with all the variety of vegetarian and vegan food, fresh fruit, small portions of already made muesli and humus ... very nice!

The perfect place to stay at. More or less in the heart of the old town, all sights were just a walking distance from the hotel Plenty of restaurants and cafes around, and the train station was just 2-3 min walking distance from the place. Very specious room, spotlessly clean, modern bathroom, comfortable bed, and we had all the amenities needed for a short stay in the kitchen. Although quite centrally located, the place was peaceful and quiet. Wi-fi connection was perfect, too. We enjoyed our stay very much. We would visit again, for sure.

We liked the fully equipped kitchen in the room. The room was big and quiet. There is a free-of-charge big open pool near the hotel, so take a swimming dress (if summer). There is a supermarket ALDI near the hotel.

The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. We especially appreciated the towel warmer in the bathroom. A coffee machine and a selection of herbal teas were available in the room. As a goodbye gift, we also received a small jar of aromatic salt...such a nice gesture! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city. Absolutely recommended!

    Characterful city with impressive building and views, especially in the old town area. Good restaurants and a vibrant energy, but like most of Switzerland, not cheap. Only about 1.5 hours from Zurich Airport by train.

    It's expensive, but I guess you're aware, I mean it's Switzerland.. :D But super beautiful, clean, mix of nature and city/shopping etc. Cool places to eat and have drinks, nice parks, you can also visit the bears if you're lucky enough to see them.

    I wasn't there long enough to really enjoy the city of Bern, but don't miss out on seeing this beautiful city. It has so much history and a lot to see. very easy to get around and just a little to know info, Albert Einstein lived in Bern.

    Nice but no more.

    Nice but no more. I love swimming an no inside swimming pool was open. Outside swimming pool are not heated so the water was 23 degrees celsius !!! the mountains in Grinderwald are awesome

    Nothing much to do in Bern. Just Old Town.

    Nothing much to do in Bern. Just Old Town. We ended up staying here for 5 nights. But it's waste that long. Instead I would recommend staying a night here, staying couple of nights at Interlaken, 1 night in Luzerne, couple of nights in Zermatt.

    Old town was fantastic.

    Old town was fantastic. Visit the rose garden, and bears' enclosure. Bridges and cable cars are a treat. The traffic is amazing, everyone is so laid back, bikes and cars and trams all giving way to each other. Very, very quiet for a city. I loved it.
