Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.

Best city in Canada forrestaurants, attractions.Traffic on Metropolitain is out of control. When speed limit is 70km per hr, I do 80 km per hr. Others go 100+ km per hr. When speed limit is 100 km per hr, others go 130+ km per hr, No police anywhere enforcing speed limit - day or night. Metropolitain is a death trap. I witnessed accidents in both directions. We used Montreal, as a base.
We used Montreal, as a base. We are not normally city people, But I must say that our visit was lovely.. We visited the Parc Jean-Drapeau, The Botanical Gardens and also we went to Mount Royal which was just behind our accommodation. The people in the city were very helpful, and very friendly, especially when we tried to use the public transport. This question is not possible to answer since everyone is looking for something different. I expected it to be more French French but it was not, rather it just had its own character that we did not find especially appealing. The old part of the city is delightful, full of quirky streets, cafes, bars and shops and full of character. Montreal is a big city so the central business and banking district can feel pretty brutal, yet also carries the grandeur of its modern architecture. The view over the city from Mount Royal, especially from the terrace of the Chalet, is spectacular and not to be missed, although be prepared for the long climb up the stairs to the top!Guest review byAlexUnited Kingdom

On 2nd night woken up by fire alarm at 1:30am, no apologies for that also. Next day, coming back to my room from downtown breakfast, guests loudly having sex in room on same floor.
