Great little hotel, what used to be known as a "Formula 1"; the facilities are basic, no frills, and both toilet and shower are shared, not in your room. The room itself is basic with a double bed and single bunk over, with a TV and washbasin, At reception are coffee and snack machines, and there is a microwave to use if you wish. If you're looking for "luxury" this won't be for you, but if you want a well-priced, en-route stopover close to the motorway then this is great, and the staff are super-friendly and helpful. WiFi is very good within the hotel, and car parking appears secure. Just 100m away across the road there is an excellent little Italian restaurant which was recommended to us at check-in where we thoroughly pigged out on some truly excellent pizza :)

The room was amazing, comfortable and cozy, also very silent at night. An amazing bathroom too. It was just a bit tricky to reach the hotel from the center of Brussels. Nevertheless the staff was amazing and they even booked a navette to the airport for me the night before. I would definitely come back😉

    Charlerois not an obvious tourist destination, as it really is a struggling city. But the upper town with the art deco town hall and the main church on an octagonal square has the feel of slightly surrealist film set. One can have a nice stroll through city, exploring its different layers of time and the life of the inhabitants with their very mixed heritage. And if you are inclined to adventures of the everyday, you will enjoy this city.

    I would not recommend that for children, even with people with disabilities; just saying! no pic to upload waste of time, unfortunately, as I had straight to Brussels city centre next day with the family.

    It's of no interest, unless you want to do some research...

    It's of no interest, unless you want to do some research into bad taste in town planning, or how a lack of respect and civility creeps into a city where finding a member of the police force who speaks a little English is like a treasure hunt. Speaking of treasure, many citizens will try to steal your cigarettes and coins, as they do in other cities, but in Charleroi a refusal is at best an insult and at worst a spit in the eye.

    For those who like comic books, it's worth visiting some...

    For those who like comic books, it's worth visiting some metro stations with characters on the interior tiles. There are very good restaurants (I enjoyed the Vietnamese one next to the hotel). The traditional shopping streets near the La Gauche shopping centre are worth a visit and it's a must to try the ‘Gayettes du pays noir’ (handmade truffles).

    the airport was terrible it was chaos you need to go really early to get through the security it took us over 2 hours the bus to the airport is just across the road from hotel which is very convenient

    It's good but only for airport stays.

    It's good but only for airport stays. As its around 2 hours from the Brussels city center .. so depends what you want to do..we only booked for 1 night before our early morning flight. But spent rest of few days in Brussels city center so.we can reach all the attractions easily

    Good location, friendly staff, transportation to the airport arranged and coffee & croissant in the morning. Departure time of our flight was at 6:35 am from Charleroi. We took Flibco bus from Brussels to Charleroi airport and taxi to the hotel. Location and service provided by staff was excellent. Transportation to catch the early flight was provided with fresh coffee and warm croissants to wake travellers properly up. Highly recommended if your departure time is early in the morning 👍

    Very friendly staff, we received a discount for a great update last minute, there is a supermarket near the hotel, near Charleroi Airport, sufficient parking space, great noise isolation, it smelled great in the main area and in our room, easy to use technology, lovely soaps, relaxing jacuzzi, very comfortable bed and last but not least the room was decorated beautifully. Our stay in general was very relaxing and luxurious. Great quality.

    Great location if catching a morning flight from Charleroi airport, as it takes around an hour (depending on the time of day) to get there from Brussels Midi station. Room and facilities are as expected, similar to other Ibis Budget locations, small but perfectly adequate for 1 night. Taxi to the airport costs €10, which the hotel can arrange. Uber Eats delivers to the hotel, various choices.
