Stayed at Wangaratta motor inn, staff friendly , rooms clean and comfortable beds. Friday night we had Indian from next door Mr Kurry. The food was delicious. Saturday night we had dinner at the RSL. Great location to base yourself.
Great location to base yourself. Easy travel to Beechworth, Milawa (Brown Brothers Winery). Some great restaurants and cafés, some lovely old buildings and churches. We had a fantastic meal at Rinaldo’s and we enjoyed excellent coffee at Pauli's Cafe.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Excellent cafe's and restaurants around the town with some hidden gems. great walks to the hidden waterfalls, award-winning wineries, quaint villages, delicious local produce, and vibrant events in a rural city. The facilities at Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway made me instantly feel comfortable and at ease because the rooms were spacious, well laid out and exceptionally clean and secure, the staff were professional and courteous and we loved having a swim in the lovely pool during our visit too.
