Very quiet when we visited (end of September) went to Denmark first which was absolutely amazing! Went on a highly recommended whaling cruise boat trip in the morning - saw whales - and visited the whaling factory museum in the afternoon. So many beautiful beaches in the area. Definitely worth the drive and will come again in the future during the summer.

A beautiful coastal city with incredible information on the early settlers of Western Australian. This should be included in teaching our children this important part of WA History. Many amazing heritage buildings or sites to visit and explore, with never enough time to take it all in. The beaches are beautiful and close to downtown Albany. Frenchman's Bay and Oyster Harbour are close to explore. Many great eateries to choose from no matter what time of the year you're visiting. Denmark is a stones through away and many local wineries in the Plantaganet shire entice you in. Lovely wines in this area of WA. Need a week at least to stay and enjoy the beautiful surrounds of Albany. Love it.

The town itself isn't that interesting though it's very pleasant, and has some fantastic local scenery. The places you can go to are amazing. We were unfortunate with the weather, so though we had booked a week, we were limited in what we could do so far as visiting the national parks we were interested in. With better weather, we could have filled the week and more without difficulty. We had a great time :)

A nice place to visit for a couple of days.

A nice place to visit for a couple of days. Not a lot to do here . Also nightlife is almost non existent. 2 nights was enough for us . Enjoyed The Anzac Memorial, definitely worth a visit and so was the Old Gaol . The staff at the Gaol were excellent.

We had lovely weather, visited many local attractions, the Chainsaw sculptures were amazing, National Anzac centre was so interesting and we had to go to The Sugar Boy in the town. Easy drive to Denmark and Valley of the Giants. Went to The Gap, Natural Bridge and Blowholes - which was quite a walk and steep in places.

If it’s your first visit, you’ll love the local history, stunning views, beautiful beaches, and the old Whaling Station—with an old ship you can explore and a cosy café full of curiosities. The ANZAC display is a highlight, letting you follow a real WWI character’s journey. There’s a replica of the Endeavour, small museums, top spots to eat and great cafes all around town, plus loads more to discover. Perfect for anyone keen to soak up Aussie heritage and charm!

Everything. We had a super three days in Albany and staying at Casa Melina was a highlight. It is such a wonderful space and has clearly been renovated with love. Communication was great as well. We filled our days visiting lots of the great sites and places around Albany and it has been lovely to come back to this super house to chill and relax. We played quite a few games in the evening. The house had everything we could ask for. We couldn’t ask for more. All great memories of a super holiday.
