FAQs about hotels in Vienna

Waltz Through the Pretty Streets of Vienna

Previously the centre of the Hapsburg Empire, Vienna is the current centre of Austria’s culture, economics, and politics. Visitors may think they are in a museum as they walk through the historic first district, but Vienna also has a youthful and dynamic side with lots to offer.

St Stephens Cathedral in the Inner-City is surrounded by the Ring Road, with grandiose buildings like City Hall, the Austrian Parliament, the State Opera House and the Burgtheater. Enjoy the city where amazing musicians like Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, and Mahler once lived. If you’'re visiting during the carnival season, practice your waltzing skills at one of Vienna’s 200 glamorous annual balls.

Visitors can wander around beautiful park grounds in the Wiener Prater and Schonbrunn Palace provides imperial and extravagant grounds to stroll through. After exploring, eat with the locals by enjoying famous sandwiches at Trzesniewski, a Wiener Schnitzel at Cafe Central or taste traditional wines at the city’s many Viennese pubs.

Vienna International Airport is the doorway to the heart of Vienna. Booking.com has luxury hotels, charming bed & breakfasts and modern apartments to meet any accommodation needs for your stay in Austria’s capital.

Vienna is a beautify city with lots to see and do.

Vienna is a beautify city with lots to see and do. I highly recommend seeing the Opera while there. Visiting the museums and palaces are a must. Shopping is something you want to do. The public transit is great and very easy to use. The 3 day transit pass (good on all forms of transit) is unbeatable. If time allows, a visit to the Central Cemetary where famous musicians are buried is enjoyable. The outdoor sausage vendors are great for lunch. There are so many good places to eat.

Vienna was one of the best family cities I have visited.

Vienna was one of the best family cities I have visited. It was easy to find our way around, clean and felt super safe. There was so much to do. We never stopped and can’t wait to go back again. We enjoyed the Spanish horses, Albertina art gallery, Vivaldi concert, free walking tour which gave some great knowledge of the city, the butterfly house and Prater Park - this was our least favourite during the trip very over priced and the rides are not great. It was cheap and easy to get around Vienna - again perfect for a family. Everything was on time, clean and well ordered. We would love to go back during the Christmas markets - they were setting them up and they looked brilliant.

So many sights to see!

So many sights to see! Vienna offers many interesting locations to visit, from historical sites, shopping venues, event venues and museums! Getting around is super easy - install their public transit app, buy a 24/48/72 hour ticket and use any type of public transport that they offer. It's easy to get around, plan routes, and I can only sing praises to the punctuality and availability. My car was in the garage for the whole stay. The historical center is always busy and there's plenty to do, starting from Stephansplatz and the Stephansdom, to shopping streets that start from there, and a short walk away you'll find many places to visit: the Roman museum, the Mozarthaus, Andreaskapelle, Petersplatz, Pfarrkirche St. Michael and many more, and that's just the centre. Take a tour of the whole centre, plenty to see and learn and visit. The museum we visited was the National Library and the Prunksaal where you'll learn a lot about history and can admire the ceiling paintings created by Daniel Gran, the perspective and details are breathtaking. If you have time, go to the University of Vienna Botanical Garden that's right next to the Belvedere Palace, so many interesting plants to see, and squirrels that come up to you to say hi. You can even enter a small bamboo forest - it's especially great during windy days! Another stop you don't want to miss is the Haus des Meeres, an aquarium that's in Esterhazy Park, and also houses the sea turtle Puppi who lives there since 1982, a rescue that is well taken care of. The aquarium spans over 11 floors and you need at least 3 hours to visit all of them! You have plenty of food options, but one hidden gem for us was the Moment Cafe and Restaurant, it's family run, small, with super friendly and attending staff, and has the best schnitzel you can try!

Vienna is the best city in the world.

Vienna is the best city in the world. Everywhere you go it’s clean, no pollution, and the history of the city is incredible. The country has found peace by choosing to opt out of NATO and they are thriving. There is a sense of individuality, and I admire that. All the locals look happy and healthy. I constantly saw people keeping fit and healthy by running and walking which is always great. I also LOVED the cafe culture (reminds me of home) and everywhere you go the coffee is wonderful. Germans are awesome! Definitely will be back, thank you!

Vienna is a city that perfectly blends imperial grandeur with modern elegance. From magnificent palaces like Schönbrunn and Belvedere to the artistic treasures of its museums, every corner feels steeped in history and culture. The city is exceptionally clean, well-organized, and easy to explore with its efficient public transport system. Street performances, classical music, and charming cafés add to its timeless charm.

There is lot to do in the city - I mean museums and galleries. I know the city for decades and it is going down in some respects (restaurants, caffes). Public transport is effective and the prices are reasonable.

Location is incredible as it is located right next to Wien Westbahnhof (with shops, restaurants, kiosks, ATM, and the inter-city train station of course, with two local train lines as well). Property is 10 minutes away to Vienna's city centre where all the main attractions are, which is very convenient. The staff are attentive and the hotel is well decorated and furnished (especially during Christmas). The rooms are spacious, modern and clean, no complaints there.

I chose to stay near to the Vienna Train Station (but a little bit far from city centre) so that I could easily catch the train to the Vienna International Airport on the last day. I would say the hotel is considered very near to the train station - only 1 tram station away. You have to walk to the nearest tram stop which is Alfred-Adler-Straße and ride 1 stop to Hauptbahnhof Ost S stop and you could reach the platforms in Vienna Train Station very soon.

Lovely hotel…gorgeous dining/terraced area. Really cleverly set up rooms. Good price & great location on edge of city centre with easy transport links very close (tram at end of road & subway just a bit further away). All round great option for a Vienna stay…would definitely visit again & recommend!!!!
