Ellmau is a great mountain village. If you like hiking, you can consider purchasing a Summer ski lift Card giving you access to 14 lifts in the region. An absolute must is the Hintersteinersee. A stunning area in Austria, we stayed for 1 week for the skiing season which was perfect. We also thought that it would be a wonderful place to visit and stay, in Pension Rainer, for a walking holiday. The facilities, bars, cafes and restaurants were fantastic and everyone we met without exception were so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Ellmau is a nice village in the Brixental, with direct connection to the mountains. Nice place for skiing if there is snow enough. Later in the spring time they do the best to keep the slopes in a good condition and Skiwelt is a large area, so it's not difficult to find good slopes for skiing. Only when it is warm weather in the winter and many people comes (typically on Saturdays when many people from Munich comes here for one day skiing) then in the afternoon the condions for skiing are not so good like in the morning, it can be felt that the altitude of Skiwelt is not very high. Very good and nice restaurants everywhere for some lunch during the skiing day. We were satisfied with our family skiing stay.Guest review byHynekCzech Republic

Every corner of apartment is very well thought out so you can feel at home :D Just 5 min to bus stop and maybe 3 min by car to grocery or ski lift.
