The hotel is brand new and modern. Communication with the hotel prior our arrival was on point. Check in was super quick and easy, with very friendly staff. The rooms were clean and tidy, the same goes for other hotel facilities. We had an excelent breakfast, full of home made products and very nicelly served. They realy deserve all the compliments.

The hostess was welcoming and even gave us a paper with places to visit in Kruja. The rooms were clean and tidy. The hot water in the shower never seemed to end and the bed was very comfortable. The hostess was even so kind to fill the room with rose petals and candles(as a surprise for my wife) as we were visiting during valentines day.

Amazing location, nice view from the window. The room was spacious, clean, nice amenities. The staff was very helpful, they helped us parking the car close because we gost lost. The breakfast in the retrace was very tasty, topped with an amazing view over the city.

    Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal.

    Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal. One day is sufficient to see what there is to experience. I stayed an extra day because I had work to do online. Be warned, this is a mountain down so you will be doing a lot of up and downhill walking. Reconsider if you have mobility issues.

    Lovely and clean place.

    Lovely and clean place. Though quite small, there's plenty to explore - picturesque Bazaar under the castle with loads of lovely souvenirs where everyone is sure to find something to their taste and budget. Pretty restaurants and places of accommodation. Small shops but well stocked with things you might need. Shop owners and people working in restaurants speak decent English and the menus are available in both Albanian and English. The grounds of Krujë Castle don't seem to be large but there's a lot to explore and admire. You can walk among the romantic ruins, relax and enjoy the vista. If you venture out in the countryside, you can walk in olive groves among grazing sheep, goats and cows and if you are lucky, you can meet a local riding a donkey. If you love hiking, there's Krujë mountain. The best thing about Krujë is undoubtedly its location with stunning views - and that was what we loved the most about the place!

    I love the peaceful layout of the castle area and recommend the Ethnographic museum showing the way people lived from medieval times. The hiking trail up Kruje mountain was steep but there was a good zigzag track, and spectacular views. There is an interesting site at the top with lighted caves and a shrine to a Bektashi hero. This can also be reached by car along the mountain road. I liked to eat at the Horizont cafe on the mountain road with wonderful views of sunset over the sea.

    Spectacular little town looking over a flat basin between the coast and mountains. Two new and interesting museums in the castle. Great shopping bazaar. Plenty of great restaurants. Worth staying 2 days to explore.

    The history of the area is important for the country.

    The history of the area is important for the country. The National Museum is brilliant. The Old Baazar is very interesting and the local restaurants are very inexpensive. The food is very high quality.

    It was a great one day, overnight stop.

    It was a great one day, overnight stop. We went to the castle but didn't go in (family didn't want to) but stopped for a drink at the top restaurant. I am sure there is much more to explore on the mountain. We ate dinner at Hotel Panorama and it was nice viewing the town with the open windows (once the sun went down a bit). We were hoping to get a pass for the pool there but they said it was only for guests. We walked the bazaar a couple times and visited almost every shop. They all had the same things. We bought a beautiful rug runner. The mountains were beautiful and we even had a quick thunderstorm pass by.

    All was excellent. The staff were so helpful, especially Aldo who rescued us because we had flat tyre. He oversaw the fitting of the emergency tyre, and negotiated over the phone with the car rental company back at Tirana airport for us to have a replacement tyre fitted. The view from the hotel from the room (which was spacious with a beautiful, large balcony) and outside dining was breath-taking. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. 10+ stars for everything.

    Fantastic hotel in the middle of the old city centre, near the bazaar. Everything is new and we loved the architecture and the use of natural colours and materials. The hosts are really friendly and will do everything to make your stay in Kruje fabulous. Even looking for a bar where they may play F1 Grand Prix of Spa Francorchamps. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful city and we’ll be back!

    The breakfast was fantastic and more than our children needed. Everything was delicious, and it was brought directly to our tables, so we didn't have to walk to the buffet. The location is in the forest, close to the road to Kruje, but the rooms are at the back of the building and are quiet.

    The host was very kind. The hotel parking was available right next to the castle, and less than 5 minutes from the Bazaar, which made for a very comfortable visit in Krujë. The breakfast was charming! We enjoyed our stay at Rooms Merlika.
