The facilities are excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The shower had reliably hot water (a big plus!), and both breakfast and dinner were delicious and satisfying every day. You can feel the care and love Ricky puts into everything he does. His two friendly dogs and super cuddly cat made the place feel even more like home. The Lazy Dog Inn also offers packed lunches. This was perfect for our stay - we wanted some peace and quiet away from Lima where we live, and this was exactly what we wanted. There were other guests who did some amazing trekking too, so there is something for everyone here. I had a lovely horse ride with Wayne, one of the owners. Ideallic. Wayne and his wife Diana, who are Canadian, are wonderful hosts. The food is brilliant, worthy of the best restaurants in Lima (and dinner is included, which we didn't realise and was an amazing bonus). Our cottage had a wood fire too, which made it very cosy.
