Every now and again I come across accommodation which is exceptional, this is such a place. The attention to detail by the owners is wonderful. A very comfortable stay, I highly recommend!

A lot of people have pointed out that it offers little privacy due to the many glass panels and windows but we didn't find it a problem as there were ample blinds in all the rooms and shared spaces. The fact that each room had its own bathroom was a huge plus point. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed to cook a simple breakfast. Location was fantastic too. Easily the nicest place we stayed at during our trip around the South Island.

Each unit comes with a terrace offering mountain views, a flat-screen TV, a well-fitted kitchenette and a private bathroom with shower, free toiletries and a hairdryer. A fridge and toaster are also featured, as well as a kettle. We liked being out of town in peaceful countryside . There were enormous sliding windows opening on to a terrace with outdoor furniture. The view from the accommodation was a magnificent range of mountains.

Milford Sound Lodge offers a seating area with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and shower. Some units include a balcony and/or a patio with river views. When we arrived at Milford Sound Lodge, we were informed that the road would be closed the following day. Unfortunately we could not stay but the staff member, Gillian, immediately confirmed we could cancel without any penalties. The money was refunded promptly. We were disappointed we couldn’t stay as the lodges looked fab but with the amazing customer service we received, I have no doubt it would have been a wonderful stay.

With mountain views, Benger Garden Chalets is located in Millers Flat and has a restaurant, room service, snack bar, garden, terrace and barbecue. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. The room was amazing and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The Cafe onsite was a surprise and had amazing food that was priced good and busy with travelers stopping in regularly We would stop here if we were down that way again and if they had a room available we would definitely stay again.
