We got to feed the sheep and alpacas and especially enjoyed the pigs.

Bay of Islands Airport is 36 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Everything. The house is stunning, the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and served on the veranda overlooking the bay. The gardens are lovely and it's an easy 10min stroll into town. The hosts Greg and Peter made us feel so welcome.

Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the barbecue, or enjoy views of the sea and garden. The lodge is beautifully situated on the beach, the view over the beach is great, the hosts are very friendly and the facilities leave nothing to be desired.

Guest rooms will provide guests with a fridge. the view from the hotel is amazing. when we arrived, we were greeted and welcomed by Judy. We had a very large room with everything you need for a lovely stay. The highlight, however, were the incredibly valuable tips and advice from Judy and her husband. We have travelled a lot, but we have never received such personal (and handwritten) advice and tips for our trip. We can unreservedly recommend a stay there!

Set in Mangawhai in the Northland region, Chalet Cullen, features a garden. This property offers access to a balcony, darts, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 1.8 km from Mangawhai Heads Beach. Everything, the place was perfect, well equiped and very clean, the host was great and very responsive if needed. We had a rented car to travel around so the location was great for it.

Shipwreck Bay Beach is 1.2 km from the lodge. Overall a fantastic place in a calm location right across the road from the beach. The hosts were kind and helpful, and a lot of great and clean shared facilities. We booked three different rooms and they were all clean, spacious and with comfortable beds.

Lodge Bordeaux features a heated outdoor pool, a barbecue pavilion and an in-room breakfast service. A 5-minute drive from Whangarei’s city centre, it offers free unlimited WiFi.

Fully air-conditioned, the self-contained rooms have a full kitchen with a microwave, a fridge and a stove. The seating area comes with a DVD player and a flat-screen TV with some satellite channels. All bathrooms include underfloor heating and most rooms have a spa bath. Very clean well maintained. Very European feel. Wonderful welcome. Ordered delicious breakfast brought to our room. Great little spot on Quay to go to dinner (town basin area).
