We had an amazing stay at Kandalama Lodge in Dambulla. The place is peaceful, beautifully designed, and blends perfectly with nature. Our room was clean, comfy, and had a lovely outdoor bathroom. The pool was spotless and perfect for cooling off. The food was delicious – I especially loved the barramundi fish! What really made the experience special was the staff, especially Madushan, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend this hidden gem! I don’t recommend the airport transfer service.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Rock Shade Chalet – Sigiriya. The chalet was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a beautiful natural setting close to the main attractions. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and freshly prepared, making our stay very comfortable. A special mention goes to Mr. Lasantha, who gave us massive support throughout our stay. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made a big difference. Furthermore, he arranges Sri Lankan cooking lessons for foreign guests, which is a wonderful initiative to share our food and culture with the world. What impressed us most is that all of this is offered at an affordable price, and the team works tirelessly 24/7 to give their very best to guests. Overall, Rock Shade Chalet is a perfect place for a peaceful family getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

It was cozy, equipped with everything you Need. Peaceful, clean and chilled location. The owners were very kind, helpful and hospitable, they kept checking on us even though we were barely staying for one night. The food was lovely, simple and exceptional. It’s way more worth than the price they charge. Worth the money. It’s a must stay if you are looking for a getaway with serenity.

It is located in a quiet area, the air is so fresh at night time so we sleep without fan. Morning breakfast cooked with love by owner’s wife, always fresh coconut roti, eggs and fresh fruits. El Back of Beyond – Pidurangala está situado en un entorno natural, en Sigiriya. A true experience to sleep right in the middle of the jungle. You would most probably need to be picked up 2kms from the house as the last bit of the road is very rough and you need a 4x4.
