The hosts were very sweet and nice people. The communication upon arrival was great. The cabin is cute, upstairs of course it’s quite hot but there is an aircon! And breakfast was ridiculously delicious and way too much

Writers Lodge was perfect in every way. It was well located , fully stocked and fitted with high quality towels and linen. The villa was the best of its kind in Galle. The staff are also polite and accommodating.

This was a gem of a find for me. First time to Sri Lanka and there was trepidation on my part about the trip. However Malik the owner and his family made it so easy for me. The accommodation is a clean, modern and comfortable bungalow set in the garden of the family home. The accommodation is 10 minutes from the centre of Galle but in a quiet location. An ideal location for trips to the beaches, Galle fort and other local attractions. Malik and his family are so helpful, nothing too much trouble. The home cooking, breakfast and dinner is delicious and they offer traditional cookery lessons in their home kitchen. Malik even sorted my transport from the airport to the accommodation and also had a SIM card sorted for me. Local transport to and from the bungalow is so easy to arrange, I used the pick me up app. I fully recommend this accommodation. Enjoy.

We initially planned a 4-day stay at Samalanka Boutique Hotel, but the captivating allure of this place made leaving impossible, extending our retreat to a full week. Located in a breathtaking locale, the warm hospitality from the staff, Malin (the manager), Sudeera and Sarath, made our experience exceptional. Malin treated us to a nutritious breakfasts featuring fresh fruits, omelet, bread, and spreads. The standout was the exceptional coffee, arguably the best we've had in Sri Lanka. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, Pink Elephant in Unawatuna delivers meals promptly at reasonable prices. The option to use the kitchen for personal cooking is also available. Situated approximately three kilometers from Habaraduwa, the hotel provides easy access to essentials like Cargills, restaurants, and the beach. We opted for scooters from Easy Bike, but the staff is more than willing to arrange tuktuks for convenient transportation. For those seeking a relaxing escape in the South Province of Sri Lanka, we wholeheartedly recommend Samalanka Boutique Hotel!

Very nice and cosy , authentic accommodation. The villa has a beautiful terrace. The owners and staff are very nice , direct and helpful to the end. They were immediately helpful with any request we had. The breakfast was plentiful , they also prepared European food on our request. The pool and surroundings are very nice and peaceful. We were the only ones in the villa , so it was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. It was like having a private accommodation with private staff.

Okay, so my girlfriend and I were looking for a romantic getaway, somewhere peaceful and private, and let me tell you, Hathawariya Green Cabin blew us away. Seriously, it was like stepping into a dream! The cabin is tucked away in these gorgeous paddy fields, so you feel like you're the only two people in the world. And the outdoor shower with hot water. So romantic! We loved just relaxing in the hammock, listening to the birds,and soaking up the scenery - it was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect. But honestly, the best part was the amazing hospitality. The owners were the sweetest couple ever! They welcomed us with fresh avocado juice and cold towels (so refreshing!), and the Sri Lankan food they cooked was out of this world (check out the pic!). They even let us borrow their motorbike to go explore a nearby temple, which was so kind! If you're looking for a romantic escape with amazing hospitality and a touch of luxury (hello, AC and fast Wi-Fi!), you HAVE to check out Hathawariya Green Cabin. You won't regret it!"
