ItalyIt's been a real pleasure for me to spend a couple of days at Naga Lodges. The wooden houses are located in a marvellous garden, 25 minuts drive from Luang Prabang. The place is peacefull and relaxing, at night and early morning it was a delight to be surrounded by the sounds of the forest and countryside. From the windows you can see and smell the lush vegetation, an amazing way to start the day. The accomodation are simple and well made, with high qualities details ( bathrobe, shampoo, some furnitures...). Every house has a private veranda, perfect for reading or just resting. The main building is where you can have your meals, it has a lovely laid back atmosphere. A special mention for the food. The couple running the lodges are real cooks. They propose Italian, French and Lao dishes made with local ingredients (some come directly from their garden). At first, reading the menu, you can think they're mixing dishes from Western and Asian cuisines just to match tourists tastes. It's not like that! The food is absolutely delicious, prepared with care and passion. I would recomend to try Noodle Soup and Curry! In conclusion, my experience is absolutely positive, it's the perfect place to relax, have good food and enjoy the nature. All the staff has been efficent and kind, I want to thank in particular Fred, he is a brilliant and experienced man, we had interesting conversations in the evenenings, so I could learn something about Laos culture and also have usefull practical advices for my trip. Great experience! I hope I'll be back in the future:)
