The location is pretty good. You can go everywhere by foot. The Room is very clean and the kitchen has a lot of features like smoothiemaker, Ricecooker etc. Also the Family who runs this place is very frendly and helpful. They offer daily cleaning services, pick you up at the busstation and let you borrow their bikes. I can only recommend to stay here in Pavones!

The location was quiet and private. The layout was open. I thought that since it isn't enclosed there would be more bugs but there was a normal amount around. The canopy around the bed helps with the bugs at night. The design was interesting and different. There is a parking space for the apartment. The owner is next door and friendly. The market is nearby and the fridge had enough space for our food.

The journey to get there was a bit bumpy, but trust us - it’s absolutely worth it! The property itself is breathtaking, with a beautiful trek that winds through lush greenery. This trail leads to a magnificent old oak tree and a river—an idyllic spot for nature lovers. We stayed in the Tunas Lodge, and let me tell you, the name is perfect. Toucans are everywhere and their favorite hangout spot is right above the bungalow. Watching these vibrant birds so up close was pure magic. The lodge is beautifully designed. One of the highlights was waking up to the sounds of nature and stepping onto the balcony to witness all four species of monkeys casually jumping from tree to tree. The owners are incredibly nice and always ready to help. What truly stands out about Maze Lodge is the owners’ commitment to sustainability. They work with local providers, ensuring that the lodge supports the community and minimizes its environmental footprint. Our stay was short, but we’re already looking forward to returning. Maze Lodge is a true hidden gem for anyone seeking a magical and eco-friendly escape in the heart of the Osa Peninsula.

David and Gootje were great hosts and always went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. On top of that , the property is amazing, rooms were very clean and neat, swimming pool and garden area is perfect to relax. Everything was built with attention to detail to create a great vibe. Highly recommended, and in my view the best option in Pavones. Words are not enough to express the great time we had here, go check it out for yourself.

A beautiful and comfortable place to stay surrounded by nature and close to the Golfo Dulce. Of the 9 places we stayed during our trip this is the one we loved most.

Did not have breakfast, prices were a little high. The location was perfect, couldn't get any better. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. It was an amazing experience overall.

Silvina is an excellent host, very helpful and responsive. We had a marvellous time and saw so much wildlife during our stay! The off-grid experience was far more immersive than a hotel, and we slept very well in the comfortable beds, with the sounds of waves to lull us to sleep, and monkeys to wake us up!
