Paulina was so lovely and helpful during our stay. Facilities were great and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Also loved being greeted by the neighbour's very sweet dogs every time we returned. Would stay here again if lucky enough to return to Rapa Nui in the future!

Fantastic stay! We absolutely loved our time at Maria Hau Cabanas, the room was perfect and in such an amazing location, right by the sea and close to town. Maria’s son greeted us at the airport and made sure we were looked after our whole trip, thank you for such an amazing time. Cannot recommend enough!

From the moment we arrived at Kona Koa Lodge, we knew our stay was going to be something special. He was attentive and always available to help with anything we needed, from local tips to arranging transportation. His guidance made our stay both easy and enjoyable. The room itself was a highlight. Spacious and immaculately clean, it offered a tranquil retreat after days spent exploring the island. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the overall quietness of the location meant that every morning we woke up refreshed and ready to tackle the day's adventures. The lodge’s amenities and its serene setting contributed to a feeling of exclusive privacy and comfort. For anyone visiting Rapa Nui, I cannot recommend Kona Koa Lodge enough. Patricia, our host, made this property the best! She was always responsive to my emails and questions, picked us up from the airport and toured us around town to help us locate key sights, and went the extra mile to meet our every need - she even opened her home for me to access the internet for a business meeting. She checked in each day and offered suggestions for whatever we needed or wanted to do. The location is the other great attribute - we were walking distance from just about everything, other than some of the distant ruins. Great restaurants and sights, including the perfect sunset location are 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. The room was clean and so comfortable. A great kitchen with the supplies we needed for coffee, tea and simple meals. Loved the upstairs loft bedroom and balcony for morning coffee. Truly a special place and highly recommend it - would stay there again in a minute!

Fantastic helpful staff providing excellent stay as well as great extra services, like hassle-free car rental at lower price than in town (and good car) and guided island tours. The location is ideal if you do rent a car, but it is also walkable, 3 minutes from the coast and some Moai statues and some 30-40 minutes from the center of town.

A perfect location a little away from downtown Hanga Roa, ideal for watching sunsets and enjoying listening to the waves crashing in on the rocks. The little cabin would be perfect for a longer stay, maybe we didn't need it for just the 2 nights, but it felt a bit more private which was nice. Jimena was so lovely and warm and welcoming. It was a really amazing 2 days on Rapa Nui.
