While it was a bit blustery to take advantage of the big outdoor ocean facing deck, the property has a living room with abundant light. The young couple running the place had a full house when I was there, 2 young kids, and a dog, but they still made time to prepare delicious homemade scones for the self-service breakfast plus check in with their guests daily. My six days at Port Aran House were a gem and a highlight of five weeks in Ireland. Many thanks to Sokha and Kevin.

This is an entire two bedroom home that you are renting. The kitchen is fully equipped, so if you would like to cook a meal, it is definitely possible. However, the pub, Joe Watty’s is just at the end of the lane if you prefer to go for a pint or a meal. I loved that this facility had a washer/dryer so I was able to get some washing done. Very helpful and thoughtful. I also loved the full kitchen, even though we didn’t get a chance to cook, because I was able to wash and sanitize our water bottles. The host had prepared a binder filled with helpful tips about the property as well as several pages of information of what to do/see on the island.

All of the staff was kind and helpful. I'm not really a breakfast eater, but the food was so delicious that I ate every morning I was there. I absolutely recommend staying here and I hope to return sooner than later!

You cannot ask for a better view than this place! So peaceful! Sarah Jane was very friendly and provided us with all the useful information to know for our stay. The room was nice and comfortable. Just the right size for 2 people. I was surprised by the nice shower this place has. I wish we could have spent one more night there!

Breakfast was delicious. Room was spacious and comfy. Communal lounge area was comfortable and relaxing and well stocked with reading material about the area. The manager kindly ran us into town in her car. The lodge had a beautiful view. Could walk to a lot of things even though town was a car trip. Loved the location! On site bike hire was fantastic!

We are ideally located for you to begin exploring the Aran Islands. Location was amazing. Right off of the pier and a 3 minute walk to the grocery store. Loved the lounge/sitting area where we could hang out as a small group and play games or do a puzzle.

Each apartment is bright, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything you need to feel at home, including private living areas, kitchens, and bathrooms. Penny was absolutely delightful. Her place was just perfect and we had the most wonderful weekend on Inis Mór. Go raibh maith agat!
