It rained a lot while I was there, and it was the most peaceful experience watching the clouds roll in and getting the breeze off the lake. The daybed against the window overlooking the lake is just divine. I could lounge there all day. There are two very cute and friendly cats that will try to get in! It's really quiet and the bed was amazing. Most comfortable place I stayed in Guatemala. I arrived early as someone was cleaning the apartment and she was extremely nice and stowed my bag while she finished up. A nice touch you don't often get in an airbnb type place.

We visited other towns around the lake and I loved how mellow Toliman, the town itself, was. Yea - it takes a while to explore from here but to us, that was great! It made for less of a touristy/party vibe like the other towns had. The hotel itself was perfect - Highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again.
