Beautifully cooked authentic Albanian food. Edmond was our guide for a day taking us hiking to waterfalls and gorges. We highly recommend this place to stay.

The hosts were so very sweet. They waited late at night until we reached there and kept the heater on for us to feel warm as it was damn cold outside during December. The room and the whole house has been decorated by handmade things which made us feel very much homely. They took good care of our daughter who is 8 years old. The guest house is located just 750metres from the castle and the market. So, it's closeby to everything. Finally, the breakfast prepared by her mother. OMG it was so very good and she made sure we had it warm. We loved the way she served everything. We felt at home ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hotel Gjirokastër is located 300 metres from the centre, in a part of town famous for numerous museums. The hotel is surrounded by green gardens and large parks, while the building itself is made of traditional stone and wood. Free Wi-Fi and free parking are provided. Excellent location, just a few minutes from old bazaar and with road access. We had a room with balcony with a view onto the valley and the town. Hosts were very very nice and helpful. Delicious breakfast with savory and sweet dishes served, plus mountain tea and good coffee. Room was clean (double with balcony). Good wifi. Room size fine for a few days. Free parking outside hotel. For 70 Eoro with breakfast/ night, good value for money. Would definitely stay again.

Suites were absolutely stunning, every detail thought through (the proprietor is an architect and you can see her design choices everywhere). The beds are ridiculously comfortable. Great toiletries, bottled water, espresso maker in the rooms. Location is amazing for walking through the bazaar or to local museums and historic houses and to the castle. Breakfast was included (and yummy!) at the cafe downstairs. Amazing value, couldn’t recommend more highly.
