The camp was nicely located in the dunes, there were some other camps nearby, but not close enough to notice them without walking some distance. The facilities were amazing, tents were simple, yet well equipped and the little private bathrooms (including showers) were just perfect. Sunset camel ride was brilliant and definitely worth doing. Both the dinner and breakfast were well prepared with a large variety of food, we were very impressed by the quality and quantity of the dinner and breakfasts.

It was easy to find the meeting point, where you can leave your car in the shadow (if it’s not 4x4) and easy to contact Rashid or his daughter, they both speak good English and reply fast. Rashid took us to the camp in his car and the ride itself was incredible, as the camp is located deep in the desert (and as budget travelers we enjoyed that the price for the transfer was a bit lower than in many other camps). Inside the camp you can’t ask for more, the tent is really spacious and nicely decorated, there are these little details as some spare chairs in the tent and outside too, so you can enjoy the views from the terrace, big fresh clean towels, additional blankets if you feel cold during the night and the bed itself is extremely comfortable! There is a private bathroom in the tent, which is impeccable, even for taking the shower, the water pressure is fine. The location of the camp is really perfect, as we made a big research before booking it and in the end stayed completely satisfied. Perfect spot for photographers, as you can’t see other camps around (except for one, but pretty far away) and the dunes are just right there. Rashid is a great man and treats his guests as friends, he can make you a good company and feels if you want to stay alone. During our stay we were offered fruits, coffee, tea and some other snacks, that we didn’t expect. And the fire in the night was just great. Highly recommend to stay for at least 2 days.

The best place to stay in the desert. Special thanks to Idrees for the great breakfast, the dinner, and all the preparations for the stay and comfort among the other travelers. Also, thanks to both Ali for their help and activities—it was the best dune drifting ever. The rooms were very comfortable and beautiful. I definitely recommend it!

The camp consists of different types of lodgings: 3 tents on the sand, tents on poles and houses. Each with its own bathroom. We slept in tents on the sand. The host Le Oy (apologies for misspelling) was wonderful. He picked us up in the neighboring village, deflated the tires of our 4WD and led the way through the desert to the camp. This was great fun. I got stuck in the sand and he showed me how to free the car. Diner is with all the guests in an airco-d room. Buffet. Excellent food. After diner campfire under the stars. The next day we saw the sunrise and went duneboarding and camelriding. Le Oy had made a cultural program for us. We visited a Bedouin tent where we drank traditional coffee. All in all it was an amazing experience. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I definitely recommend Layali camp.
