To start, a wonderful owner who clearly takes pride in getting things right for her guests. A large ensuite room with views of Diamond Harbour. Comfortable bed. Peaceful surroundings. We didn't take advantage of breakfast this time. A 10 minute walk to the Diamond Harbour ferry to Lyttleton. There is a direct bus from Lyttleton into Christchurch. A 25 minute walk to the Two Thumbs pub, or a 2 minute walk to the local Cafe and restaurant. Multiple walking paths from the house. We wished that we had a few more days there.

Loved absolutely everything, from the well thought out design to the comfortable bed. The view from the bathtubs and even the ability to Bluetooth your own music through the room. The staff were extremely helpful from the moment I made the booking. Even organised a platter to be brought down to us to enjoy with our complimentary bottle of wine.

What a great place to stay and not only for one night... I loved it. Jill is a super host and very helpful and friendly. Everything was super clean and well organised. The WiFi was working perfectly. Our stay at this beautifully appointed accommodation was exceptional. The place was immaculate and well-equipped, providing an ideal setting for a relaxing staycation. Felt like an out of town nature retreat without having to do the long drive. The convenience of a one-night stay, especially when having limited childcare options, was greatly appreciated. The ability to order Uber Eats added to the overall experience of R&R. The spa offered a serene retreat in the evening, while watching Netflix under the stars, and a stunning start to the day soaking and listening to the birdsong. So happy to have come across this gem and will definitely be booking again.
