The staff were very cooperative and friendly. The restaurant serves delicious food. There is a great view from the hotel, watched the most beautiful sunrise from behind the hills right from my bedroom. The rooms and bathrooms are top-notch and kept very clean. Great stay!

This place is located just outside the busiest part of the town, so it's very quiet, but still a few minutes walk from everything. The room and its bathroom were clean, the bed was comfy and the WiFi worked well. If requested, the hostess can prepare a simple breakfast, for an additional fee. As other reviewers noted, the hostess' English is very limited, but with the help of Google Translate and body language you can easily overcome the language barrier; she's very nice and helpful.

We found this place so heart-warming that we could have stayed much longer. It is five minutes away from Maya Devi, the extraordinary World Heritage site. The family atmosphere, the home-cooking, the smiles and laughter; all so trustworthy. Everything was spic and span, and It’s the best green hidden gem in the cosmos. Long live Deepak and his family!

The property is across the street from the temple complex. The hotel has everything I needed. I did walk around the town, but ended up using the hotel for food and drinks. The staff spoke a little English, so I was very thankful for that. The manager answered many of my questions and was very helpful.

Clean, nice room with a hot shower. Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, and offered free breakfast and dinner for cheaper than the restaurants while still being very tasty.

Firstly the location was perfect as it was few minutes walk to the Devi Maya Temple & the owner was very helpful & he even helped us keep our luggage after check out & help drop us to the bus parking also the parking is very near which was very convenient.

    I had a great stay at Lumbini Village Lodge, it was my first stop in Nepal and the staff made my stay so comfortable. They helped me get the correct sim for my time in the country, and plan out a route for the best places to visit whilst here. THe room was spacious and very affordable, and the property as a whole was very clean. I cannot recommend staying here enough.

    Pocket friendly hotel at a good location. Room was spacious with all basic amenities and clean. It has a Cafe/ Restaurant on the ground floor. Which is a bonanza to a traveling party. Most memorable was the warmth of the Manager Mr. Deepak and other hotel staff. I will stay in the same hotel if there is likelihood to visit Lumbini in future.

    I have travelled a lot around India and Nepal in the last 10 years and I have to say, this is THE BEST Hotel EVER!!! It’s a family business and you can tell that the owners care about their customers and the hotel. It was very very clean! For me personally, it’s always an issue while I travel. It’s never enough clean for me, but at hotel Kanthak it was perfect! The location was ideal to visit Lumbini ( 5 minutes walk) and after a busy day you can retire at the hotel in a agriculture setting ( field rice). It was beautiful and peaceful.

    Mosquitoes galore unfortunately in at least one of the rooms, and no mosquito netting. So if you're sensitive to that stuff, you've been warned. Beds gave off a very budget feeling, linen/pillow sheets very thin and easily came off giving an unclean feeling. Place do come with wifi and hot water. In terms of value, this place leaves a lot to be desired as more expensive in locations in both Kathmandu and Pokhara provided a whole more bang for the buck than did this place.
