At the time of our stay they were building a descent size pool. It would be nice once finished. Private and quite area. Acess to motorways to go down south or Kandy side was easy from nearest town of Piliyandala.

I was incredibly happy with my stay, it was very clean, beutifully designed, very nice staff, quick and cheap room service, nice facilities and overall good stay. Also as a woman travelling alone a perfect stay. Good food also and nice fresh fruit juices.

I had a wonderful stay at Alakamandava spending 4 nights here at the beginning and end of a 2 week holiday. The beautiful apartment and location is peaceful and perfect to relax and unwind after a long flight, yet a short tuk tuk ride away from Colombo City. The hosts Dharshana and Bhagya ensure that you have everything you need, and the breakfast and meal choices were superb, really enjoyed the Sri Lankan options (although I had to Google some things, and there's also Pasta and Pizza etc.. As a solo traveller I felt completely safe here, it's very homely and so many pretty terraces to sit and look over the neighbourhood. I enjoyed watching the tree Squirells, and many different birds.. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Sri Lanka.

Loved our stay in this beautiful house. TJ and his staff were fantastic and made stay here very comfortable. TJ was a mine of very interesting information on Colombo and the history of this house. We were fortunate enough to stay when the house was used for wedding photography which gave us an unique insight to Sri Lankan weddings. We were served Sri Lankan breakfasts by Dilshan who explained all the dishes to us and don’t forget to take a dip in the pool.

    Hidden Gem in Colombo to stay on your arrival to Sri Lanka. It took us 1hr from katunayake airport to this place. And it’s a peaceful area. Beds are comfortable and the master bedroom had A/C. It’s perfect for 2 person though it has 5 bedrooms and the price was much cheaper than most of the colombo hotels or inns.

    The host, Nilu was extremly helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The place is spotlessly clean, well maintained and very cozy. The bathroom was exceptionaly spacious. Beautiful garden.
