We stayed as a couple for 11 days in this beautiful cottage 1 minute from the beach. It is so quiet and you can relax and retreat very well. There is also a whale skeleton and several beaches are within walking distance. It is also a kitesurfing paradise and there are many donkeys here. You can easily cater for yourself, but there are also several restaurants nearby. The owners are next door and are happy to help at every opportunity. We would come back any time. :-)

If you never been to Kalpitiya, it has a sense of being on the outskirts of civilization. Here you stay nestled among the houses of the locals and share the beach with its fishermen. Beside great kite- and windsurfing (and endless beaches of course), there is not a ton of things to do in Kalpitiya. Scuba diving is good, when there is visibility. Dolphin watching is also a possible activity, but quite an expensive one that last a couple of hours. You won’t find any city center with shops, bars and restaurants near, but you can of course visit other resorts and use their facilities. However you should know that you have a very good restaurant on site if you stay at the Sea Sand Resort! This establishment is made up of about 10 small bungalows with a restaurant. The bungalows are quite basic, but very clean and comfortable and represents good value for money. Within about 10 minutes or more on foot, you can reach surf schools and beaches. From my own experience I can promise that you will be very well taken care off if you chose to stay at Sea Sand Resort.

This place is like an oasis in Sri Lanka! Proper and clean rooms and a really nice vibe, airconditioned as well. Also great place to dine, fresh fish and amazing food! The owner treated us well and was a great company to us. Great value for your money!

Owner and staff was very kind end helpful. Houses were fresh and clean, beds with mosquito nets. It was nice and comfortable to stay there. 5/5 breakfast was very tasty and there was gluten free option for me:) highly recommend this place

Calming atmosphere surrounded by beautiful nature, beautifully decorated and always clean room, staff of the place are very kind and friendly people, doing their job above and beyond. Dili and Roshan and their family where treating us as their family members. We felt immediately at home at their place. We enjoyed fantastic meals prepared in their own little restaurant. Each meal was prepared with passion! The last evening we enjoyed at a festival together what was a very special moment for us to dive into Sri lankian culture. We recommend them with great pleasure and we wish them all the best for their future plans.
