We had a wonderful time here. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a private pool and a beautiful river view. The bed was super cozy and the AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was excellent and really delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place if you're visiting Wilpattu!

what a fantastic time we spent there!Coming with my 6 years old son and we really felt at home. The staff (Sofrin, Hassan, Rachani) helped us in any way there and did whatever possible to make us confortable. Thanks again guys, we will definitely come back there when we will be in Sri Lanka.

The Sanctuary is an outstanding place. The building itself it’s beautiful designed and decorated, fitting in well to the natural surroundings. The room and all the fittings feel high quality and a luxurious, a real treat when budget back packing. The nature that it is surrounded by is truly beautiful and peaceful. The perfect place to sit back and relax! What makes The Sanctuary so special is the staff. So welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Their knowledge of the animals and plants that you will see on walks around the premises is amazing, so well educated and genuine. The food cooked by mum is 10/10 and you will not leave hungry. They made our safari day so enjoyable and truly perfect!! I can not recommend this place enough, it’s a new venture for the team and they do it so well!! Thank you so much to everyone involved.

The location is incredible right next to the river and the territory is very clean. We slept on a tree house and it was really cosy with nature sounds. We stayed two nights and did a full day safari that was organized by a host. In the early morning we took a walk around the village and enjoyed local hospitality. Definitely recommend this hidden gem!

Stay was excellent and the staff was very nice from the start of my visit, the room / location was exceptional as its was so close to the Wilpattu national park. During meals we had many options to choose from and the meals were prepared with good quality ingredients as i felt the freshness and difference in the dishes. There was also ample parking available which was great.!!! :) Free Wifi :) :) :)

My bungalow was spotless and very comfortable. The aircon and WiFi were great. The food in the restaurant was really good and all cooked fresh to order. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay in Kalpitiya!

Simply Paradise. I stayed 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. The resort is beautifully located at the sea, so relaxing and swimming all day at a place where there are not many tourists makes it a special place. The accomodation and the food is really great but what makes it even more special is the kindness of the people. Extraordinary! It was a perfect start in Sri Lanka. The family/owners were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and courteous. I loved the tranquillity of the accommodation, the sound of the birds, and the palm trees.. the Boras were very functional, and the bed was very comfortable 😴 Definitely recommend solo travellers, I felt extremely safe here. IDEAL for relaxation and a wonderful place to chill
