MexicoThis is a very good and new hotel. You feel like a dear friend there, the staff is amazing and location close to the city center, still quiet area, amazing view on the countryside. Big comfortable room. Nice restraunt, good vibe. It's the best place I ever stayed in Laos. They organize tours to the plain of jars but I recommend to visit Su, his agency is on the main street 7 min walk from the hotel, he is amazing guide for reasonable price.

The staff is very nice and helpful.

Everything was very very nice. It is a guest house, not a 5 star hotel so I judge it accordingly; for what it is, it is comfortable, super clean, there is a very nice common terrace, wifi is FAST....
The staff is super nice, our checkout time was extended into the afternoon when we had to leave for the airport.... they suggested it, not us! 😁
Location is great, many restaurants nearby
Highly recommended!

Kong and his family are the most welcoming hosts!!! The garden rooms are clean and beaitiful, its in a great location just behind the main road. Every night the family light a fire (in an old empty bombshell) in a shared outdoor kitchen for guests to sit around and mingle or relax. Cheap beers available, lots of good food options nearby. Can rent scooters from Kong to go out to jar sites. Such a great place and such a beautiful family. Will definitly return next time we're in Laos.

Location overlooking countryside so with country sounds rather than traffic but only a short walk to the few restaurants . Good device. Provided pick up and also organised a tour and keen guide to the main sites and helped me book flights

The best shower I had in weeks! Nice and quiet location, friendly owner, free coffee or tea in the morning. Hot water if you want to make noodle soup. Bed was comfortable and the room spacious. Minimarkets in the neighbourhood.

The owner Kong is so friendly and knowledgeable. His tours are very informative and fun. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is great!

- Big comfy bed, good nights sleep
- Very clean
- Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Mr Souk and Abay, they spoke very good English.
- Free pickup from the bus station and helped organise transport to Vang Vieng.
- Staff we’re very helpful with organising trips to the Plain of Jars and other activities.
- Good location, short walk from the Main Street with shops and restaurants.

The hotel is very new. The rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean. The location is just on the edge of town with nice rural views, but a short walk to restaurants. The pick up service from bus was also much appreciated. But the best thing was the friendly young man who run the place. He spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful. If you find yourself in the plain of jars this is an excellent spot to stay

Kong's Guesthouse is a good budget option in Phonsavanh.
It is very basic, but clean, and scalding hot water which is important because there is no heating, and it gets very cold (night temp down to 4-5 degrees C) and I have to add 2 additional blankets at night to sleep comfortably.
Location is good as right in town, but the town itself has very limited dining options.
Owner runs good tour to Plain of Jars and organizes transport for you.
Overall a good value budget option for a short visit, just don't forget warm clothes.
