From the moment I arrived at OHIO Motosan Shukuba, I knew I was in for something special. Nestled in the heart of Takasaki, this charming accommodation perfectly blends traditional Japanese hospitality with modern comfort. The location couldn’t be better. Takasaki’s peaceful streets, nearby temples, and stunning mountain backdrop made every walk feel like a step into history. And the proximity to local dining and cultural sites made exploring easy and rewarding. OHIO Motosan Shukuba is more than just a place to stay — it’s an experience. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply grateful for the hospitality I received. I can’t wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Takasaki.

The room, as expected, was small but comfortable for two adults. It was clean and well-equipped with good amenities. Breakfast was included and featured a variety of onigiri, soups and pastries. The location was conveniently within walking distance of shopping districts. We would gladly stay here again on our next visit to the area.

Less than 10 minutes walking distance from railway station. Strong wifi, good complimentary breakfast, clean, washing machines and dryers. Even though I booked "smoking room" as a non-smoker, I did not feel any smoke anywhere inside of the room or anywhere in the hotel. Inexpensive.

So much better than expected. Really helpful staff, let us keep our bikes in the room (we were bike packing). Really good value, excellent onsen on the top floor. breakfast was decent and room had everything we needed
