Located a 5-minute drive from JR Kiikatsuura Train Station, Hotel Nagisaya offers a free shuttle service, and hot spring baths with an ocean view.

The hotel is about 20 min walk from the train station but they have a free shuttle which made it perfectly convenient. It was absolutely worth being slightly further away as the hotel is located on a small cove which feels like you have private access to the sea and gives beautiful views from the rooms! There is an indoor and outdoor onsen (natural hot spring baths) both with lovely views and a comfortable temperature, with complimentary amenities. We had breakfast and one dinner at the hotel and everything was delicious, generous portions with attention given to seasonal and local produce. They were also able to cater to our dietary requirements (pescatarian and scallop allergy) well. At one point one of our party suffered a burn (NOT the hotel’s fault) and the staff were so helpful in providing us what we needed and were very kind.

What a lovely stay I had here. I got drunk before dinner and then staggered into the most incredible feast I've ever had. This town lands a large amount of the tuna that comes into Japan, and they had such a variety and skill with it in the restaurant. Incredible sakē, great quality fish, good sized room. A genuine delight.

A highlight stay for us. The location and view overlooking the bay from this grand property were stunning. The house itself is not new but it’s not old, impeccably clean with everything you need and parking on site. The hosts were absolutely delightful and helped us with restaurant choices. This property is a beautiful home situated right at the bottom of the Daimonzaka. The location is absolutely amazing. There is a little river running out front, the house is tucked away into the trees so it is very private, and there are stone steps that run through a little bamboo grove, right to the Daimonzaka just a few meters away. It’s very special. The house is also very comfortable with the beauty of and old-style Japanese house, combined with all the modern amenities including western beds and a washlet toilet.
