We got a warm welcome and lots of great tips about what to do and where to eat in the Island. The room, toilets, bathroom and kitchen were clean and there was a garage to put our bikes. Thanks to the provided tools we even managed to fix our bicycles. Thanks a lot!

Wow! The Nomad Inn is fantastic! It is a real taste of old Japan, very nicely renovated to keep charming original features while providing modern comforts. The futon were really comfortable and the aircon was more than strong enough to keep us cool on a very hot day. The surrounding houses also reflect a different and more gentle age. The island is easy to get to with a car on a short (under 10 minutes) and cheap ferry trip from Innoshima, which is connected to the mainland by bridges. The ferry runs every half hour or twenty minutes depending on the time of the day, and the Nomad Inn is close by. Parking is very easy just behind the house. We went to an excellent izakaya in the evening called Aya after a great spa experience at FESPA, both a short drive away. We only stayed for one night as we had a busy itinerary but it would have been a great base to explore the other islands as well since it has a kitchen and washing machine. We hope to come back for a longer stay!

The dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing and high quality, made with love. In the USA, it would cost more than the total price of this stay at Sayomi's house. The house is a peaceful location up a hill with incredible views and solitude. It's perfectly clean and the bath facilities are high tech and modern, while the home itself has a warm, traditional and home-like feel. Sayomi is incredibly kind and generous. The food is unbelievable. She doesn't speak much English but will still try and communicate in a friendly way, and you can have a good conversation with translator apps. There's also a massage chair and the bath is great for after a long bike ride. Staying here fueled me to finish the difficult bike ride and it is one of my highest recommendations in Japan.

We loved this place SO MUCH. Arrived at the end of a long day of cycling, feeling almost broken. We got in and the view, the house, the treats and the care the owners had taken in readying the house made us feel on top of the world. We drank tea on the deck; watched TV; had a bath in the amazing bathtub; and didn't leave the house at all until we checked out. Which worked out, because there us not much around, and it's in a very quiet spot. The owner was very helpful and responsive too. Favourite place we have stayed in in Japan, by far.

Wow, what am amazing place! We booked a twin room but all rooms look out over the water to the bridge. The bathroom was huge and so beautifully designed. The beds were super comfortable and there is even a place to hang your bikes if you need. The staff was super friendly and the location was just 5 mins from the Shiomachi street. We really enjoyed our brief stay and wish we could have stayed longer!
