Definetely reccomended if you're a small family on a budget: the place is half-way between Milan and Lake Como, in a nice farm with lots of animals (goats, donkeys, horses...), but clean. The area is more or less in the countryside, not far from Merate's town center, but you'll need a car or a bike if you want to get around.
