We came across this residence through friends and were extremely satisfied. The accommodation is in a quiet location in the countryside, you feel like you are in a little paradise. The pool is very inviting and well maintained. The hosts are very friendly and make you feel at home. We imagine that this accommodation must be particularly suitable for families with children, as the children have so many opportunities to play in the garden. We highly recommend the accommodation and will be back.

Staying at Sottoassisi - Guest House was an exceptional experience. The location is ideal — right in the historic center of Assisi, close to major landmarks like the Basilica of Saint Francis, yet quiet and peaceful for a restful stay. The guest house is full of charm, with beautifully preserved details and modern amenities. My room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and tastefully furnished. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-equipped. I used Sottoassisi as a base to explore a wide range of Umbrian towns and cities, and it worked perfectly for that purpose. From here, I visited Perugia, Orvieto, Gubbio, Foligno, Città di Castello, Spello, Spoleto, and Trevi — all within a reasonable driving distance or accessible by train. Each day ended with a peaceful return to Assisi, making it the perfect anchor for my Umbrian adventure. The hosts were warm, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel at home. They provided excellent recommendations and were always available for any questions or needs. If you're planning to explore Umbria, I can't recommend Sottoassisi - Guest House enough. It combines comfort, location, and hospitality in a truly unforgettable way.

The central location and useful directions from our host meant it was very easy to get to from Perugia airport by bus and a mini metro. The room is a short uphill walk away from La Piazza and had perfect facilities for us. Simonetta gave us such a warm welcome that we would love to stay again.

A wonderful location for combining rural and cultural tourism. Excellent level of hygiene and service. They have a farmyard with well-kept animals, the children had fun in the yard. The views from the place are breathtaking. A swimming pool is currently being built, which will be available to guests during the summer season. With best wishes for a successful business for the hosts and for us - to come back again!

This apartment had everything a traveller needed. The furnishings, dishes, towels, extra pillows and blankets were much appreciated. It was very clean and had a good view of upper Perugia. There is a washing machine, and an expandable drying rack. It was a nice bonus to have a bathtub as well as a shower - after all the walking and climbing, soaking tired muscles was wonderful. Secure underground parking was a bonus. It was a nice change to have a host meet us at the apartment and show us around. Sonia was always available to answer questions. I have read some comments about not feeling safe, but we walked to restaurants after dark and had no trouble at all. The proximity to the Minimetro was great.

We were warmly welcomed by owner Stefania’s daughter upon check in. When we had some difficulties to identify the apartment building and taking long to get there, she was patiently waiting for us & guided us how to get there smoothly. She was such a charming young lady who had provided us all the information we need & much more. She made already charming attractive house even more attractive and charming with her presence & warm welcome. House is well equipped with everything we need & also very nicely decorated with unique taste of owner Stefania which is very inviting. Location just short walking distance to the city centre with parking just outside the apartment located on the ground floor - This made it easy & very comfortable for us to carry the luggages from the car to the apartment Highly recommended.

    Alessandro the host was so kind and really went the extra mile to help me. He drove me to Perugia so I could see the city because there were no buses available. And then he picked me back up at the train station, (he had already come before to take my bags so I could explore Perugia) and then he drove me to the airport at 6am. Such a kind guy. And a very clean and spacious room! What a great value for my money, I would be more than happy to stay here again.

    The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and everything necessary had been thought about. The owner was incredibly helpful and came to fetch me at the airport because no taxis were available. And Camere Rufino is very close to the airport.
