For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.

The location is outstanding, the view from the window is beyond beautiful. It’s very peaceful. The host communicated the instructions ahead of time, the check in was easy. The beds were super comfortable and both room and the shared spaces were pristinely clean. The shared kitchen is well equipped , there is also a big dining room. Another great thing is the possibility of doing laundry. The price for the stay was more than fair. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

We (four people) rented a/the three-bedroom apartment on the ground floor. It had all the amenities one could wish for while travelling, while only paying €167 for a night (which is dirt cheap in Iceland). The view from the apartment overlooking the lake/river was stunning. Really quiet area and we were able to see the Midnight Sun as well.

it was great to have separate bedrooms - this was an affordable option that still allowed us our own space. coffee was provided, this was much needed in the morning! and the location was spectacular, great place for sitting outside and enjoying coffee with the birds in the morning!
