Completely wonderful place, Irma and Pickles were true stars. It’s all in the details, the cleanliness and the amazing cooking of Irma - could happily have stayed for weeks. Maybe one day we will. The artwork, the mismatched china, the fireplace, the Keith Richard photos, the red bike outside! Loved it all! 🫶🏻

The accommodation is located ideally in the town. You are not disturbed by the activities of the bar/restaurant. The breakfast had so much to choose from, with amazing volume of food. Staff are easy going and very helpful. I would certainly stay there again.

Excellent location. Easy to find, near town centre. Homely feel to the house. The host made sure we had everything for our toddler and even left a cuddly bear as a present for him. We were able ti check in early using the key safe which meant wr could unpack and get settled very quickly. We immediately felt at home. We had a really great stay and would highly recommend to our friends and family. Thank you for all the little touches, including the toy and hamper.

We stayed at this house near Sceine Bay for a family trip and absolutely loved it. The house really blew us away. If you love to cook, this place is a dream come true with all the kitchen gear you could ever need. We ended up making some great family meals right there, just enjoying the space and the amazing view. Another amazing thing about the house is all the books. No matter what you’re into, there’s something for everyone, from Joanne Harris and David Gemmell to Tolkien and more. The location is absolutely beautiful, tucked away in a really scenic part of the bay. We spent a lot of time just taking in the views or heading out to explore. There’s so much nearby to check out, like Helen’s Bar, Derreen Gardens, the town of Kenmare, and the Boathouse Restaurant. We never ran out of things to do or places to eat. Honestly, this house made our trip. It’s the perfect spot if you want to relax, cook great food, or just enjoy good books with family. We’re already talking about when we can go back here, we're regulars of Cork and Kerry. Highly recommend!

Was passing through kenmare on friday 08th of sep 2023, and I said I'd look up accommodation just to see was there something within budget, and was delighted to see Failte Hostel open again as I hadn't being in kenmare for about three years. As I just flow with life now, and the price for three night so reasonable, I decided to book in for three nights. Lovely family run hostel and welcomed with a smile, stayed in sparkling clean 8 bed mixed dorm, spacious shared shower and bathroom facilities with were spotless, with beautiful warm running at all times of the day. Perfect Location just at the top of Hendry Street, If your like me and your looking for somewhere to just lay your head and shower as you go on your adventures around Kerry and West Cork your in an ideal location as a base. Hope this hostel gets all the support it deserves to continue trading in these times we're in, As a hostel is of huge importance in this central location for access to travelling around Kerry & West Cork.     I would highly recommend the Green Isle, and would happily stay there again myself. Communication with the hosts was great, house was spotless and breakfast honestly expected our expectations. The room was decorated with taste and bed was really comfy. Location is ideal too for a trip on the Ring of Kerry or the Beara Peninsula.

    The location is ideal - only a few minutes walk from the main area of shops and pubs. Doors had key pads so very easy for people to come and go. The room was very clean and a v comfy bed. I'd recommend it highly. Kristin responded to text messages very promptly.
