The Avalon is my first choice of hotel when visiting my family in Kilkenny. The rooms are really comfortable and tastefully decorated, the inclusion of a coffee machine is very welcome. The hotel has a very homely atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, so kind and friendly. I would really recommend breakfast, a good selection of local produce really well cooked and served. Loved the location. Close to shops and liked that JB’s bar was about 40 feet away from room entrance, which was appreciated after a long day of traveling.

This place is a little jem. Everything about it is fab. Staff and owner couldn't do enough for us. Spotless clean beautfuil bed and food is amazing.. It's €12 taxi to town . Definitely recommend it and we will ww back.
