I recently had the pleasure of staying at Katikia Zagori, a small and newish guest house in Vitsa, nestled in the heart of the Greek mountains within the Vikos-Aoos National Park. This hidden gem is a true paradise for nature lovers, offering proximity to the magnificent Vikos Gorge and an array of wonderful walking areas. The service was exceptional, from the warm welcome we received upon arrival, to the genuine hospitality and eagerness to assist, which created a warm and inviting atmosphere. We particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the room's design, blending contemporary style with traditional elements that reflected the local culture. The village, though small, boasted a handful of excellent restaurants showcasing the best of local flavors and ingredients. One of the highlights of our stay was the proximity to the awe-inspiring Vikos Gorge. Just a short drive away, we were able to embark on unforgettable hikes in the pristine natural beauty of the area. The hotel staff was very knowledgeable about the local trails and provided helpful recommendations, ensuring we made the most of our time there. Having a car was necessary for travel, allowing us the freedom to explore the surrounding area at our own pace. We were able to visit nearby attractions, charming villages, and picturesque viewpoints, all within a short distance from the hotel. The scenic drives through the Greek mountains were an adventure in themselves, offering breathtaking vistas. In conclusion, our three-night stay at this boutique hotel was an absolute delight. The exceptional service, combined with the hotel's perfect location within a National Park and its proximity to the majestic Vikos Gorge, created an experience that surpassed all expectations. If you're seeking a serene retreat, surrounded by nature's wonders and complemented by outstanding service, look no further than this hidden gem in the Greek mountains.

Zelinia is the perfect place to stay when you come to the Vikos Gorge and its surroundings. Beautiful views, excellent, friendly welcome, our host is the most perfect host we have ever met. :) Yes, no kitchen, shared fridge, but trust me, we didn't miss it. We drove to Monodendri in the mornings (about 5 minutes) for coffee. As we knew the area, we shopped at the supermarket in Asfaka before arriving at the accomodation, so we could always have breakfast - as we had read the description on Booking, we took plates and cutlery with us. We were on the road all day and it was always nice to arrive at the accomodation. One of us had a cold from the car air conditioning one day and our host turned on the heating at our request during the night without a word and brought tea - we are very grateful for this, we have never had such kindness on our travels. I highly recommend this accommodation!

Really lovely guest house with a great host. We were given lots of good information for the area by Lucas, and were well located to explore the region. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a kettle and small fridge. There is a communal area with a kitchen and lounge area and outdoor seating area. Very dog friendly.

Wonderful accommodation in pretty Monodendri! The room was extremely spacious and with plenty of facilities including a nice kitchen and a couch. Breakfast was excellent and abundant. The staff were very kind (limited knowledge of English) and allowed me to leave the rental car in the parking for three days as I hiked the Pindos mountains.

Simply fantastic! the room was so cozy with a beautiful view of the sunrise. Every morning I was woken up by the delicious smell of freshly baked pie. Breakfast was great. Maria and the other staff were kind and helpful. And of course the scenery ... amazing for hiking. I would definitely come again - for longer!

A lovely experience at the Meliteion. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. The room is really comfortable and decorated in warm and relaxing tones. I arrived late afternoon and got great advice to hike up to the highest point in the village and watch the sun set over the mountains. Stunning. Great breakfast! Thank you, I will return.
