Family run B&B with a wonderful atmosphere. We arranged our stay with Alice, nothing was a problem. Erik conjured up an amazing breakfast for us on request. Both husband and wife live their B&B and it really shows in the accommodations. Every detail has been worked out.

A very nice and clean hotel with extraordinarily friendly staff, especially a woman who worked almost all day! Excellent food and a relaxed and cosy atmosphere, we really enjoyed our stay and would like to come back, thank you very much!

Fantastic stay here, the perfect place to explore Orkney from. Dorothy was wonderful and ensured everything was well organised, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic after exploring outdoors on the colder, windier days. A short drive to Kirkwall township in a quiet setting. Highly recommended!

Sanderla Guest House truly felt like home. The room was very comfortable and spacious, and the location was ideal, being close to all the spots on the island we wanted to visit while remaining quiet and tranquil.     The property is ideal for a couple. It is compact but comfy. There is a small modern kitchen area, a small table to eat at and a two seater settee all in the same room. The bed was comfortable and the power shower in the en-suite was excellent. The location was ideal as well, 15 minutes from both St Margaret’s Hope and Kirkwall.

    The property appeared reasonably new. It was tastefully decorated and well equipped. Basic provisions like bread and milk provided. Did not actually speak with the owner but previous communication was fine. A little out of the way for some but ideal for us. Large walk in shower.
