Crosskeys cottage is a lovely cottage, nicely decorated, with everything we needed for a short stay. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. The provisions left were a nice touch. There is a great view of the hills from the back of the house and the garden. The location is good for visiting Cardiff and walks and mountain biking in the nearby hills and forest park.

The very warm personal welcome from Howard and Catherine. The house has been superbly renovated. Out bedroom was spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious with a good range of items and the hot elements cooked to order with local suppliers. It is in an ideal location in the historic Welsh mining area with Caerphilly Castle nearby.

This little hotel is brilliant for a short stay and a central location to explore the area. The setting is lovely and the staff were brilliant , nothing was too much trouble for them. The room, bathroom etc were spotless.
