Super cute place, i loved the atmosphere, The locals do come here. Its literally a 2 min walk to the dam. The staff is great, great food, the bar is nice, breakfast is nice as well.

Perfect picturesque location for your stay in the Peak District. So many walks from the doorstep to nearby ridges for marvellous views. Room very comfortable, slept so well, even a fridge which is always a great bonus. Lovely decor and beams throughout, bar and restaurant and onsite parking. Staff very friendly and at hand for anything you need. 100% recommend a stay here :)

All was perfectly set. I wanted to stay in some countryside pub-like hotel with more types of beer, some food but at the same time clean and quiet room for sleeping. Everything was there, I really did enjoy my stay there. We went from Hope valley and then on the way back to Edale. There is also a bus going to Castleton so all is perfectly linked, the parking lot was big too but we arrived from Manchester by train

    I loved the fact the property was called charlottes cottage as this is my name, the location was incredible with local shops and restaurants etc all within a 3-9 minute drive! The property had a fully equipped kitchen which was ideal for our stay as we had planned to make breakfast and dinner of an evening and make lunch for our days out hiking. Very comfortable, very clean! Great location for what we wanted! All over fantastic stay would highly recommend to anyone!

    What an exceptional cottage with an equally great host! Very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need and more! In a great location, has easy parking and a much appreciated welcoming gift set on arrival! Surrounded by beautiful views and walks with a country pub serving good food around 5 minutes walk away. Really enjoyed having the cosy log fire in the cottage.The attention to detail from this host is above and beyond! Cannot praise this experience enough! Hope to return soon!

    The cottage was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The cottage had everything we needed and the toiletries supplied were absolutely lovely. There was a homemade cake and marmalade in our welcome pack, alongside bread, milk and wine. The location was great for local walks, including Bamford Edge and Lady Bower Reservoir. A really lovely cottage in a lovely area!
