A very warm welcome along with the lovely, spotless, bright and spacious room and en suite and the beautiful garden made Les Bruyeres a great place to stay and we would happily recommend it. The location was ideal for us with its proximity to Montbron but it is also ideally placed for exploring more of Charente and the close by Dordogne.

Chris and Trace were the perfect hosts. A warm welcome on arrival, happy to assist with anything (they arranged taxis for me which was a huge help); nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was beautifully presented and was delicious. A very comfy bed and large bathroom. I had a lovely swim in the pool within the extensive gardens. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chris, Trace and their very pretty home.

Comfortable pod in a quiet , private location. Very relaxing with clean facilities. Really enjoyed our overnight stay. Local town had a good mini market. 10euro for linen/ towels was very reasonable. Will seek more of these out on our next cycle journey.
