As we were going to the ww2 celebrations the house was well located for pretty much all of the locations too. The more we went out we realised there is actually a lot of stuff to do around the area too, kayaking, restaurants, golf and much more. Madame initially had a lot on her plate and we thought she was very abrupt and unhelpful but she was pleasant and accommodating afterwards and had her own problems that day which was unfortunate. Room and breakfast were fine and as expected. Lovely river right there and good choice of restaurants within walking distance. It would be difficult to carry a case up the stairs, but most people were only staying for 1 night so that was not a problem. The breakfast was basic, but the room rate was cheap so we didn’t expect more. The location and grounds are lovely. Unfortunately we had a problem with a key and were unable to get out of our room. The lady running the hotel and other guests responded quickly and we had a new lock on the door before nighttime.Guest review byDavidYoung couple
