The hotel/bar/resto was most accomdating as we 3 cyclists arrived. Problem: it was on a French national holiday. Most local restos were closed as was their kitchen so they kindly offered us an excellent cheese and salad evening meal. Perfect! After cycling n Km we just needed beer, bread and salad. With that we were off to their really good bedrooms and, in the morning to a good breakfast

The hotel is in a very nice old historical building. It was amazing to read the history of this ancient residence started from the XIII century in the hotel book. We lived on the top attic floor, which we climbed up by magic internal compact spiral staircase that looked like an attached tower from the outside. There is a large parking lot behind the house where we put our car and very nice breakfast in the restaurant in the nearest building. The location turned out to be really very convenient for visiting castles. We visited 5 castles in 3 days :) The room had a bath and everything you need, even a teapot for evening tea after trips and heaters which is important for cold period. It was also ideal for us from the number of beds point of view, usually, it is very hard to find satisfactory rooms in hotels. So we really liked the hotel and the details of its history are just what you expect from heart of France. Thank you for a good vacation!

Best place I stayed in during this trip. I could live here :-) Beautiful, quiet, spacious and nicely decorated studio. Comfortable bed, huge bathroom with great shower. All the supplies you could ask for (coffee/tea, shampoo etc, good wifi, even Netflix) On top of that I got a delicious breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, different kinds of bread. Very friendly owners live nextdoor. Could park my bike safely in their shed. A few minutes walk to the abbey, which is very much worth taking a few hours to visit.

What a wonderful place to stay. My wife and I were cycling between Saumur and Tours, and were lucky enough to have booked here. The hostess was amazing, great sense of humour, and a super breakfast. Room was lovely with great personal touches. Definitely recommend.
